Guidelines for Festival Fete Festivals

Festival Fete is designed for ORIGINAL works of fine arts and crafts.  Festival Fete organizers reserve the right to dismiss an exhibitor, or their agents, who have shown to have misrepresented merchandise on their application without refund of application fees.

Show hours and locations

• Garden City Center Art Festival is held at Garden City Center 100 Midway Road in Cranston, RI 02920
• East Greenwich Art Festival is held at New England Tech, 1408 Division Rd, East Greenwich RI 02818
• Newport Busker Fete is held at the Newport Yachting Center, 4 Commercial Wharf, Newport RI 02840

Show hours are:

10 am - 5 pm daily for Garden City Center and East Greenwich; 5:30-9:30 pm for Newport Busker Fete

Images of Work Provided on Application:

Once you are juried into a Festival Fete show we will us e the images you provided in advertising and marketing the show.  The image may be used on facebook, pinterest, our blog, our newsletter and website.  If you do not want your images used in this capacity please contact jennifer@festivalfete.com

Booth Spaces

Each person accepted to a Festival Fete show will be provided with approximately 10 x10 of display space. The spaces will be marked on the ground with taping and must be adhered to. If you require more space you will be required to pay for two spaces.  Festival Fete will not supply materials.  All display materials, are the responsibility of the individual vendors including tents, tables, chairs etc.

Booth Attendance

You or your representative must be in/near your space all hours while Festival Fete is in operation.

Sales Tax

• You have a current RI sales permit with a RI address: bring a copy of the permit to the show to give to registration and post your original in your booth.

• You have a current RI sales permit with an out of state address on the permit: bring a copy of the permit to the show to give to registration and post your original in your booth.  You will need to fill out a temporary permit, your license will be collected on the second day and taped to the inside of your file.  You will need to pay your taxes to us at the end of the day and your license will be returned.
• You don’t have a RI sales permit:  you will need to purchase a temporary permit for $10, your license will be collected on the second day and taped to the inside of your file.  You will need to pay your taxes to us at the end of the day and your license will be returned. You will need to post a copy of your temporary permit in your booth.

• You don’t collect taxes on what you sell: you will need to follow procedure 3 unless you have a current sales permit

• You purchased a temporary permit at a show awhile ago: a temporary permit is only good for the day of the show. You will need to follow procedure 3.

Lighting and Electricity

* Garden City and East Greenwich: there is no access to electricity.

* Newport Busker Fete: electricity is available at no charge.

Wi-Fi

* There is no access to Wi-Fi at any of the three locations.

Sound Systems

Music, radios and voice amplification systems are not allowed in the booth.

Move in Time

Move in time is on the morning of the show from 7am - 9am.

We ask that you register, unload your vehicle and then park immediately as this will eliminate tie-ups and delays in getting folks in.

All booths should be broken down and goods removed after close of show on Sunday.  The tax permit booth will open to process temporary permits from 5pm to 6pm.

Removal Of Debris

Please, plan to clean up your area at the end of the show.

Vendor Parking

More information will be posted soon for each show. 

 

Security

Security will be on duty overnight at Garden City Center and East Greenwich. Please, secure and cover all your work in your booth.

Security will not be needed at Newport Busker Fete.

Refund Policy

No refunds are given after you have been juried into the show.

Food Vendors

Food vendors selling items other than fruits and vegetables must have a food service/caterer or commissary license, mobile food service license, food processor/wholesale license or retail food peddler license. Any questions, call Louisa in the department of health at 222-2749.

All food vendors must add Festival Fete as an additional insured on your insurance policy. The limited liability (standard) must be 1,000,000.00 occurrence and 2,000,000.00 aggregate limits and must include premises, operations, products and completed operations coverage. All food vendors interested in attending Newport Busker Fete should contact the Newport Yachting Center directly.

Rain or shine?

All shows are rain or shine.  Please plan accordingly.

Tent Weights?

All tents for outdoor shows must have 25lb weights on each corner. Your booth will not be able open for business without them.

Display

All exhibitors are responsible for transporting their table and exhibit materials to the exhibit area. All tables must be topped with tablecloths or similar coverings.  All boxes and backstock must be kept out of sight.  Each booth must be identified with your business name with appropriate signage.  You are allowed to use a tent structure to display on.

 

Change

Festival Fete will have change available. We ask that you bring change to the show so that we are able to service all of the vendors.

Garden City Center

* From Route 95 North and South: take exit 14 (route 37 west), exit at route 2 north - Reservoir Avenue, GCC is located 1/4 mile on the right 

East Greenwich

* Heading South on Route 95: 

95 South to Exit 8 and bear right onto Rt. 2 south, Quaker Lane

at the 1st traffic light turn right onto Division Road. New England Tech is on the left.

*Heading North on Route 95:

95 North to Exit 8A

Take exit 8A and merge onto Rt. 2, Quaker Lane

at the 1st traffic light turn right onto Division Road. New England Tech is on the left.

*From Route 4 (Newport, Narragansett, etc.)

Take Exit 8B to merge onto Rt. 401 West (Route 401 West is Division Street/Division Road)
